What’s so neat about it?  Well, it says Droid in a deep voice that is one step away from being a guy I’d like to meet.  Haha.  Just kidding.    I still haven’t figured out if he says it when it’s a message, an email, or what, but I love it.  Droid.  Yep, I don’t even have to hear him (it) say it, I  just keep saying it.  (I’m sure I’ll wind down after I’ve heard/said it a few times.  Like when I’m shopping, or at church, or at coffee and I get funny looks.)

Yes, I know it’s a learning curve.  Like the GPS.  The GPS that keeps talking even when I’m on the phone.  The GPS that is constantly resetting itself with the latest and greatest directions.  The GPS that has a special section for walking!  Walking!  Isn’t that great?  I don’t know about you, but I sometimes get lost when I walk a new direction … or when I drive … or when I go out a different door than the one I came in in the mall.  I have no sense of direction.  This Droid, yep it said it again, is definitely filling a need.  Of course, that doesn’t mean I’m going to take off and go to the cities or anything.  Hm.  But if I did, I wouldn’t be too concerned with getting lost.  Not until I finished my shopping anyway.

Going back to the learning curve, I haven’t yet figured out how to retrieve my messages.  Or pictures.  Or write in my calendar, or work with my Kindle app.  Or find any games. Or do the “talk” app.  (I’m assuming that means say the person’s name you want to call?)  But aside from all that, I love it. 

So anyway, ladies. This is my take on my friend Droid. Let me know yours?

Regardless, if you’ve got a Smart Phone or whatever, we can still be friends.

• Put one item of clothing on backwards and see if anyone notices
• Mismatch a pair of your shoes
• Paint your left fingernails to match your right shoe and your right fingernails to match your left shoe
• Mismatch a pair of your earrings.  Go wild and have just one earring match your shoes and fingers
• Make up a poem about what you enjoy so much about your Red Hat Ladies Club. When anyone greets you say the poem first before you greet them
